4140 Steel (black oxidized) drop in forced reset trigger (FRT) for the Smith & Wesson® M&P® 2.0. Replaces the factory backplate for easy installation/removal. If the forced reset fails, the pistol remains able to be fired in semi-auto. This product renders the striker safety plunger non-functional, use at your own risk.

Requires slightly rounding an edge of the trigger bar. (It's possible to use this harder steel version without rounding the trigger bar, but for best operation, it is still recommended.)
A 4lb striker spring is recommended. Get one here.
A slightly heavier recoil spring (weight depends on your gun size and caliber) is recommended only if you are having failures reset (a clean and oiled pistol should run stock). 45cal and 10mm models will most likely need a 22-24lb recoil spring.

How Does It Force Reset?
No it's not an auto sear! It’s IMPOSSIBLE for the Freedom Finger FRT device to trip the sear actuator or sear, because the sear actuator has to move THE OPPOSITE WAY in order to engage the sear and allow the striker to be fired. Notice how the sear does NOT MOVE while the device is pushing the trigger bar forward. It is only AFTER the trigger is reset, that you can pull the trigger and engage the sear.
